Mauricio Villagrana

Mauricio Villagrana is a seasoned professional with extensive experience in purchasing and supply chain management. Currently serving as Purchasing Supervisor at Commercial Metals Company since March 2017, Mauricio previously held roles including Indirect Buyer. At Saft, from March 2013 to July 2016, Mauricio was a Supplier Development Engineer, responsible for implementing cost reduction strategies for a $200 million plant and developing new sourcing avenues. Prior experience includes a Sourcing Specialist role at GE Energy, where Mauricio managed cost reduction efforts for a $15 million sales plant, as well as positions at MtronPTI as Sr. Buyer/Planner and 84 Lumber as Production Manager. Earlier experience includes key buyer positions at General Motors, where Mauricio coordinated global sourcing initiatives, and a brief engineering co-op at TRW Automotive. Mauricio holds a Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering and Management from Tecnológico de Monterrey and has completed an exchange program in Mechanical Engineering at the University of Detroit Mercy.
