Chen Liu

Chen Liu, Ph.D. is an experienced geotechnical engineer currently employed at CME Associates, Inc. since May 2019. Liu previously served as a University Fellow and Research Assistant at Syracuse University, where responsibilities included designing experiments on geofoam and assisting in research organization. Liu has also held roles as a Staff Geotechnical Engineer Intern at Kenney Geotechnical Engineering Services, contributing to field and lab testing, and as a Project Assistant for the New York State Department of Transportation, where investigations focused on geofoam failure. Academic background includes a Ph.D. in Civil Engineering and an MS from Syracuse University, alongside a BS from China University of Geosciences. Liu has developed proficiency in various software tools relevant to geotechnical engineering.
