Nikhil Patel

Nikhil Patel is an experienced software engineer, currently serving as a Lead Software Engineer at CME Group since March 2013, after progressing from a Senior Software Engineer role. Nikhil's prior experience includes a tenure at the Chicago Board Options Exchange from April 2004 to October 2012 as a Software Engineer, and at Thomson Reuters as a Software Engineer in early 2004. Nikhil also worked as a Senior Software Engineer at Tellabs Inc from May 2000 to January 2004, and began a career as a Dy Manager at Essar Ltd from August 1992 to August 1998. Nikhil holds a Master’s degree in Financial Markets from the Illinois Institute of Technology (2007-2009), a Master’s degree in Computer Science from the Illinois Institute of Technology (1998-2000), and a Bachelor's degree in Instrumentation from Gujarat University (1988-1992). Nikhil completed early education at Kendriya Vidyalaya from 1980 to 1988.
