Ross Henrywood

Staff Systems Engineer - Senior Group Lead at CMR Surgical

Ross Henrywood has a diverse work experience. Ross started as a Machinist, Fitter, and Fabricator at West Somerset Restorations in 2009. In 2010, they briefly worked as a Machine Operator at Adaero Precision Components Ltd. From 2012 to 2017, they were an Undergraduate Supervisor at the University of Cambridge while pursuing their PhD in aeroacoustics, specifically researching the noise sources in high-aspect ratio slot jets in partnership with Dyson Ltd. During this time, they also worked as a College Lecturer at Magdalene College Cambridge starting in 2016. Since 2016, they have been actively involved with CMR Surgical, first as a Research Engineer, then as a Senior Research Engineer, and currently as the Staff Systems Engineer - Senior Group Lead. In November 2022, they briefly served as the Head of Research (Interim) at CMR Surgical.

Ross Henrywood completed their education at the University of Cambridge, receiving a Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) in Aeroacoustics from 2012 to 2016. Prior to that, they obtained a Master of Engineering (MEng) in Mechanical Engineering from the same institution from 2008 to 2012. Ross attended Sexey's School from 2001 to 2008, but no specific degree or field of study was mentioned. Additionally, they have obtained certification as a Mental Health First Aider from MHFA England® in 2022.
