Scottland Keefer

Scottland Keefer has extensive work experience in compliance and finance roles. Scottland is currently the Chief Compliance Officer at CMT Digital, a position they have held since June 2022. Prior to that, they served as Chief Compliance Officer at Valkyrie from October 2021 to June 2022. Scottland also worked as a Compliance Manager at M&G Investments from April 2021 to October 2021.

Scottland has a strong background in global fund services, having held positions at Northern Trust Corporation. Scottland was the Vice President, Global Fund Services from March 2021 to April 2021 and Second Vice President, Global Fund Services from August 2018 to March 2021. Before that, they worked in Legal & Compliance at Neuberger Berman from November 2016 to August 2018.

Scottland has also gained experience in compliance at OCC, where they served as a Senior Compliance Officer from November 2015 to November 2016. Scottland started their career at Jackson National Asset Management, LLC as a Compliance Analyst from April 2013 to October 2015. Prior to that, they worked as a Tax Consultant at Deloitte Tax LLP from August 2011 to April 2013.

Scottland Keefer attended Mercersburg Academy, although the dates of enrollment are not provided. After completing high school, Keefer went on to earn a Bachelor of Science (BS) degree in Finance from Indiana University - Kelley School of Business, graduating in 2008. Keefer then pursued further education at DePaul University, earning a Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from the College of Law in 2011, specializing in Tax Law and Corporate Law. During the same period, Keefer also obtained a Master of Business Administration (M.B.A.) degree in Finance from the Driehaus College of Business at DePaul University.

In terms of certifications, Keefer acquired an Attorney registration from the ARDC: Attorney Registration and Disciplinary Commission of the Supreme Court of Illinois in November 2011. Additionally, Keefer achieved the Level 2 Award in Wines and Spirits (With Distinction) in April 2018 from the WSET (Wine & Spirit Education Trust) institution.
