Ben Shepard Pe

Ben Shepard, PE, is a seasoned project manager currently leading the Energy Solutions division at CMTA, Inc. since April 2019. Previously, Ben gained extensive experience at Smith Seckman Reid, Inc. from October 2014 to April 2019, focusing on commissioning projects for prominent clients such as the State of Tennessee and Nashville Airport. Prior to that, Ben worked as a project engineer at Nexant, specializing in demand-side management programs and energy efficiency solutions. Early career roles include an engineering researcher position at RTI International, where Ben contributed to photovoltaic technology development, and an engineering co-op at NASA, where Ben analyzed engine test data and optimized turbine designs. Ben holds a Master’s degree in Engineering Management from Duke University and a Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering with Honors from the University of Tennessee, Knoxville.
