Buddhika Kumarage

Buddhika Kumarage is a Geotechnical Engineer with extensive experience in various roles within the field. Currently, Buddhika serves as a Geotechnical Engineer at CMW Geosciences since September 2025 and previously held the same title at Gisborne District Council from March 2023 to September 2025. Buddhika's prior experience includes a significant tenure at the National Building Research Organization from June 2015 to March 2023, where responsibilities included leading design efforts for major national projects funded by the Asian Infrastructure Investment Bank and World Bank, as well as serving as the Resident Geotechnical Engineer for slope stabilization works along the A005 national highway and as a Project Engineer managing project planning and execution. Early professional experience includes a position as an Engineering Trainee at Maga Engineering from November 2013 to April 2014. Buddhika holds a Master's degree in Geotechnical Engineering and a Bachelor of Science in Engineering (Hons) with a focus on Civil Engineering from the University of Moratuwa, along with a Certificate in Spoken English obtained from the British Council Sri Lanka.
