Emily Drea has extensive work experience in the legal field. Emily is currently working as the General Counsel at CN Bio since January 2022. Prior to that, they held the position of Head Of Legal at Pelion from November 2020 to January 2022. Before joining Pelion, they worked at ARM Limited as the Managing Counsel for over ten years, from June 2010 to November 2020. Emily started their legal career as a Trainee Solicitor at DLA Piper in September 2006, where they completed four seats in Restructuring, Litigation & Arbitration, Leverage Finance, and Intellectual Property. During their Intellectual Property seat, they had a three-month secondment to ITV, Granada International Department. Their time at DLA Piper lasted until September 2008.
Emily Drea has a diverse education history that spans over the years. Emily began their educational journey at The University of Manchester from 2001 to 2004, where they pursued a Bachelor of Laws (LLB) degree with a field of study in Law. Later on, in 2004-2005, they attended Nottingham Trent University and obtained a Legal Practice Course (LPC) degree, specializing in the field of study of Legal Practice. Continuing their academic pursuits, Emily pursued a Postgraduate Diploma in Intellectual Property Law and Practice at the University of Oxford from 2012 to 2013. Most recently, in 2019, they attended the IAPP, where they obtained a CIPP/E degree focusing on Data Protection.
