Yassen Abbas

Lead Scientist at CN Bio Innovations

Yassen Abbas is a Lead Scientist and Bioengineer at CN Bio since 2020. Prior to this, they were a Postdoctoral Research Associate at the University of Cambridge from 2018-2020, where they developed a multicellular model using the recently established organoids of the endometrium and primary uterine stromal cells. From 2013-2018, they were a Young Graduate Trainee Engineer at the European Space Agency, where they worked on a project investigating life support requirements for a payload of human cells on the Moon.

Yassen Abbas completed their Doctor of Philosophy - PhD in Engineering from the University of Cambridge between 2014-2018. Prior to this, they were a Masters visiting research student during their final year at Edinburgh in 2012 from Harvard Medical School. Yassen also obtained their Master of Engineering (M.Eng.) in Chemical Engineering from The University of Edinburgh between 2008-2013.
