D. Simca Bouma

D. Simca Bouma is an accomplished research scientist currently employed at CNA Corporation since April 2020, with a prior extensive research background at the University of California, Berkeley from August 2012 to March 2020. Bouma's research includes significant contributions to the study of magnetic configurations in amorphous thin films and the anomalous Hall effect. In addition to research pursuits, Bouma has excelled in teaching and mentoring, having served as Head Graduate Student Instructor and Graduate Student Instructor while coordinating large undergraduate courses and guiding graduate instructors. Bouma's commitment to laboratory safety is demonstrated through award recognition and effective training implementation as Laboratory Safety Coordinator. Educational credentials include a PhD and MA in Physics from UC Berkeley, along with a BS in Physics from the University of Southern California.
