Gordon Jaquith

Gordon Jaquith joined CNA in September 2022, following a distinguished career at the Pentagon. He formerly served as director of the Strategic, Defensive, and Science/Technology Division at the Cost Assessment and Program Evaluation (CAPE) office within the Office of the Secretary of Defense. He oversaw the research program for a portfolio of more than $80 billion per year, spanning the nuclear enterprise, missile and homeland defense, and advanced technology. Previously, he directed the Naval Forces Division at CAPE, and was responsible for investment and warfighting assessments of submarines, surface ships, naval aircraft, weapons, and other platforms, particularly during the annual program and budget review process.

Jaquith earned a Master of Cost Estimating and Analysis degree from the Naval Postgraduate School, in addition to his master’s degree from the Walsh School of Foreign Service at Georgetown University. He holds an undergraduate degree in economics from the University of Rochester.
