William Mills

William Mills, Jr. is an accomplished professional in the surety industry with extensive experience in underwriting and operations. Currently serving as Vice President of Underwriting and Field Operations at CNA Surety since August 2016, William has held various roles including AVP, Underwriting and Operations for the Northeast Region and Underwriting Director. Prior to joining CNA Surety, William was the Senior Vice President of Surety at both XL Catlin from November 2010 to August 2016 and Zurich Financial Services from November 2002 to November 2010. William's career began at St. Paul/Seaboard Surety, where various positions were held from underwriter trainee to branch manager over a span of 14 years. William holds a BA in Economics from Drew University, earned between 1984 and 1988.
