Bertha Coombs

Bertha Coombs has extensive experience in journalism, currently serving as a Senior Health Care Reporter and Correspondent at CNBC since 2002, where the focus is on financial markets and health care services. Prior to CNBC, Bertha worked as a FinanceVision Reporter for Yahoo! from 2000 to 2002, covering the Nasdaq market. Earlier experience includes freelance correspondence for ABC News from 1997 to 2000, anchoring and reporting at WABC-TV from 1992 to 1997, reporting for WPLG-TV from 1989 to 1992, anchoring and reporting at WFSB TV from 1985 to 1989, and holding the position of Leo Beranek Fellow at WCVB-TV from 1984 to 1985. Bertha Coombs is an alumna of Milton Academy and Yale University, where a Bachelor of Arts degree in History was obtained.
