Alexander Marquardt is a seasoned journalist with extensive experience in national security reporting. Since May 2017, Marquardt has served as the Chief National Security Correspondent for CNN, covering a wide range of issues from intelligence to foreign affairs and cyber matters. Prior to this role, Marquardt worked as a Foreign Correspondent for ABC News from June 2009 to April 2017, and as a Reporter for CNN from November 2007 to January 2009. Marquardt began their career as an Anchor at Channel One News and held a position as an NBC Page at NBC News in 2005. Marquardt holds a degree in Science, Technology and International Affairs from Georgetown University, where studies took place from 2000 to 2004.
