Maya Blackstone

Maya Blackstone is an experienced field producer currently working at CNN as a Field Producer for CNN Digital Video since September 2021, where responsibilities include pitching, shooting, and editing documentary-style videos aligned with news coverage. Previously, Maya held various roles at CNN, including Producer for both CNN Digital Features and Interview Club CNN+, focusing on breaking news production for an interactive audience show. Before CNN, Maya worked at The New York Times as an Associate Producer and Assistant Editor, and contributed to NBC News as part of the Special Coverage Team researching major events. Additional experience includes gathering news stories at Spectrum's NY1 and serving as a story coordinator intern for CBS's Inside Edition. Maya holds a Master's degree in Journalism from Columbia University and a Bachelor's degree in Film and Media Studies and Drama from Tufts University.
