Melani Bonilla

Melani Bonilla is a skilled multimedia professional with a diverse background in video production, documentary filmmaking, and digital content creation. Currently serving as a Production Assistant in Digital Video at CNN, Melani writes, produces, and edits video content while supporting newsgathering efforts. Previous experience includes roles as a News Associate and Documentary Production Intern at CNN, as well as a Multimedia Content Creator at Baruch College, where collaboration across departments led to successful digital initiatives. As Editor in Chief of Encounters Magazine and Founding Multimedia Editor for The Ticker, Melani managed creative teams and enhanced campus engagement. Other notable roles include coaching student reporters at The Bell and teaching filmmaking at Astoria Film Festival. Melani holds a BA in Business Communications from Baruch College and has a strong foundation in media from Frank Sinatra School of The Arts High School.
