Rikka Altland

Rikka Altland is a seasoned professional in the fields of editing, technology, and development, currently serving as a Senior Editor at CNN since May 2024. Prior to this role, Rikka held the position of Editor In Chief at 9to5Toys from February 2021 to May 2024 and contributed to 9to5mac.com as a Writer and Senior Editor from February 2017 to May 2024. Rikka’s early career includes management of the Juniata College Technology Solutions Center, where responsibilities included overseeing student workers and managing the operating budget, along with founding and developing a mood-tracking iOS application at StatistiCal. Rikka also gained experience as a Junior iOS Developer at Very Tiny Machines and interned at Gearhart Law, LLC. Rikka holds a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science from Juniata College, earned between 2014 and 2018, following graduation from Dallastown Area Senior High School in 2014.
