Shasta Darlington

Shasta Darlington is an established journalist and editorial leader with extensive experience in international news. Currently serving as the Executive Editorial Director for Brazil and Consultant at CNN since August 2019, Shasta has previously held roles as a journalist for The New York Times and CNN and as Brazil Bureau Chief and Cuba Correspondent/Producer at CNN from March 2006 to August 2017. Other notable positions include serving on the Board of Directors at the International School of Havana from 2009 to 2011, General News Correspondent at Reuters from October 2001 to October 2005, and Senior Correspondent from 1998 to 2001. Shasta began a journalism career at Bloomberg as a correspondent and at the Los Angeles Times as a news assistant, following an education at Middlebury College.
