Kenneth Bramwell

Deputy Chief Science Officer at Co-Diagnostics

Kenneth Bramwell has a diverse work experience spanning over several years. Kenneth currently holds the role of Deputy Chief Science Officer at Co-Diagnostics, Inc. since May 2022. Prior to this, they served as the Senior Vice President of In Vitro Diagnostics at the same company from February 2021 to May 2022, and as the Director of Research & Development from March 2020 to February 2021.

In 2020, Kenneth worked as a Senior Scientist - IVD/CDx Assay Development at ArcherDX, Inc. for a brief period from January to March.

One of Kenneth's notable roles was as a Scientist II at BioFire Defense from June 2015 to October 2019. During this time, they led the development of the Sentinel v2.0 project and was responsible for various aspects of assay design, qPCR evaluation, experimental protocol preparation, and verification.

Kenneth started their career as a Flow Cytometry Technician at Huntsman Cancer Institute from May 1999 to June 2000, and later worked as an Environmental Chemist at Utah Department of Health Laboratory from March 1997 to May 1999.

Kenneth also has academic research experience, working as a Postdoctoral Fellow at the University of Utah from September 2009 to June 2015. Kenneth'sresearch focused on areas such as Lyme disease, animal models of Lyme and rheumatoid arthritis, mammalian genetics, genetic variant classification and validation, transgenics, lysosomal trafficking, enzyme kinetics, pharmaceutical testing, SNP genotyping, forward genetic screens, congenic lines, and scientific writing.

In addition to their scientific roles, Kenneth held the position of President at BioFacility, LLC from September 2009 to September 2012. In this role, they managed business operations for Country Lane Assisted Living, a state-accredited Assisted Living facility in Brigham City, Utah.

Kenneth obtained their Ph.D. in Cardiovascular Sciences from Baylor College of Medicine in July 2009, after completing their Graduate Student role in the same program from June 2000 to July 2009.

Kenneth Bramwell obtained a Bachelor of Science degree in Biology from the University of Utah, where they studied from 1993 to 1997. Subsequently, they pursued a Ph.D. at Baylor College of Medicine from 2000 to 2009, specializing in Cardiovascular Sciences, Cell and Molecular Biology.
