Gijs De Boer

Gijs de Boer is a highly experienced senior research scientist currently at the Cooperative Institute for Research in Environmental Sciences since September 2011 and director for national laboratory partnerships at the University of Colorado Boulder since February 2021. Gijs de Boer serves as the chair of the Atmosphere Working Group at the International Arctic Science Committee and holds a leadership position on the board of directors at CO-LABS, Inc. Additionally, Gijs de Boer is the founder of BOREAS Consulting and has previously worked as a project scientist and postdoctoral researcher at Lawrence Berkeley National Laboratory. Gijs de Boer earned a B.S. in Atmospheric Science from Cornell University and M.S. and PhD degrees in Atmospheric Physics from the University of Wisconsin-Madison. Recent education includes various leadership and strategy certificates from Harvard Business School Online.
