Adele Balmforth

Adele Balmforth has over two decades of experience in the retail and food industry, currently serving as Proposition Director at Co-op since January 2011, after progressing through various roles including Buying Director for Ambient and Head of Category for Fresh Food. Prior to Co-op, Adele held senior buying positions at Sainsbury's from September 2001 to September 2003, focusing on bakery and soft drinks. Earlier experience includes a graduate buying role at Safeway, where participation in a comprehensive development program built expertise in retail operations. Adele holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in Marketing from the University of Central Lancashire, obtained between 1997 and 1999.
