Megan Kurteff-Schatz is the founder and president of Focus Strategies, a national consulting firm established in April 2006, focusing on reducing and ending homelessness through effective community change and evidence-based practices. With extensive experience in the field, including serving as Homeless Policy Director at Housing California and Continuum of Care Coordinator for Alameda Countywide Homeless Continuum of Care Council, Megan applies a Systems Thinking approach in consulting for non-profit and governmental organizations to enhance their capabilities in addressing homelessness. Educationally, Megan holds a Master of Social Work and Master of Public Policy from the University of Michigan, as well as a Bachelor of Arts in Urban Studies from The College of Wooster.
