Kavya Tumkur

Kavya Tumkur is a Machine Learning Engineer at Coactive AI since February 2023, previously serving as a Software Engineer in the Tweet Search team at Twitter from June 2021 to November 2022. In this role, Kavya enhanced TensorFlow models and serving pipelines, built GCP data preprocessing pipelines, and conducted feature importance analysis. Additionally, Kavya interned at Twitter in 2020, focusing on candidate retrieval for the tweet search ranking pipeline, and participated in the RISE@APL internship program at The Johns Hopkins University Applied Physics Laboratory in 2018 and 2019, working on Bayesian optimization and reinforcement learning. Kavya holds a Master of Science in Computer Science from The Johns Hopkins University, obtained in 2021, as well as a Bachelor of Science in Computer Science from the same institution, completed in 2020, along with a high school diploma from Westford Academy in 2017.
