Mark van der Heijden

Mark van der Heijden has been working in the IT industry since 2006. Mark began their career as an Intern and Young Professional at PinkRoccade Local Government. In 2007, they moved to Atos as a Business Intelligence Consultant. In 2008, they joined Achmea as a Business Intelligence Specialist, where they were responsible for the analysis, design, build and management of the full BI-stack. In 2011, they moved to Ciber Nederland BV as a Senior Business Intelligence Consultant. In 2015, they joined Teradata as a Data Architect and VodafoneZiggo as a WhereScape/Teradata Consultant. In 2016, they joined Kramp as a WhereScape/Teradata Consultant. In 2017, they moved to WhereScape as a Senior Solutions Architect EMEA. In 2021, they became Co-founder and Lead Engineer at DataToko, where they help organisations to become truly data driven. In 2022, they joined Coalesce.io as a EMEA Founding Team Lead Engineer.

Mark van der Heijden attended Fontys University of Applied Sciences from 2002 to 2007, where they earned a Bachelor of Science in Business Informatics. Mark also holds certifications from the Data Vault Alliance, Teradata, and The Open Group. Mark obtained their Certified Data Vault 2.0 Practitioner (CDVP2-Legacy) certification from the Data Vault Alliance in November 2015, their Teradata 14 Certified Professional certification from Teradata in February 2015, and their ArchiMate 2.0 Certified certification from The Open Group in October 2013.
