Daniel Althoff

Daniel Althoff is an accomplished cybersecurity professional with extensive experience in security operations, threat detection, and incident response. Currently serving as Sr. Manager of Security Operations at Coalfire since February 2025, Daniel has previously held key positions at the National Institutes of Health as Federal Lead of Cyber Security Operations and as a Contract Lead overseeing multiple teams within the Cyber Security Operations Center. Additional roles include Information Security Specialist at SpaceX, Lead Threat Detection and Incident Response Engineer at ID.me, and Sr. Manager of Compliance SIEM Engineering at Coalfire. Daniel has developed and implemented critical security policies and procedures, conducted comprehensive risk assessments, led incident response efforts, and collaborated with various teams to strengthen security measures across diverse environments. Daniel holds a Master of Science in Cyber Security from the University of Maryland Global Campus and a Bachelor of Arts in History from the University of Maryland.
