Rolando Aviles Jr.

Rolando Aviles Jr. has extensive experience in human resources and leadership roles. Rolando is currently the Director of People, Culture, and Inclusion at the Coalition for the Homeless, Inc., where they provide overall leadership and vision for the HR function. Rolando is responsible for developing and maintaining employee handbooks, advising senior staff on staffing and policies, and implementing diversity, equity, inclusion, and accessibility (DEIA) initiatives.

Prior to their current role, Rolando worked as a Human Resources Consultant at Complete HR Consulting, LLC, where they conducted workplace investigations and built HR infrastructure for organizations. Rolando also worked as an HR Manager at the NYC Office of the Mayor, leading efforts to support newly established mayoral units and coordinating with stakeholders for their success.

Rolando has also held HR management positions at Oz Moving & Storage, Inc., Weston United Community Renewal, VIP Community Services, Community Association of Progressive Dominicans, and Volunteers of America. In these roles, they facilitated recruitment programs, created policies and procedures, and provided guidance on job-related issues.

Additionally, Rolando has experience as an Assistant HR Manager and Case Manager at Volunteers of America and as a Senior Case Manager at John V. Lindsay Wildcat Academy Charter School. In these positions, they administered employment recruitment programs, advocated for clients, and served as a liaison between agencies and departments.
