Wilson Zhao

Head of Special Projects at Coalition

Wilson Zhao is the Head of Special Projects at Coalition, a cybersecurity company focused on attribution and pursuit of malicious actors. Prior to joining Coalition, Wilson was with Sift Science, where they were responsible for product marketing. There, they analyzed usage trends and developed new strategies to increase customer retention and accelerate customer acquisition. Before that, Wilson was an Investment Professional with Angel Island Capital, where they were a member of the investing team covering Industrials and Business Services. Wilson also spearheaded the initiative to build a new Liquid Securities Fund portfolio, a new hybrid credit and public equity strategy. At Angel Island Capital, Wilson provided investment recommendations and analyzed the competitive landscape, market opportunity, sales strategy, and operations for over 40 companies.

Wilson Zhao received their Master of Business Administration from The Wharton School, where they focused on management and finance. Wilson also holds a Bachelor of Business Administration from the University of Michigan's Ross School of Business, where they studied finance and accounting. In addition, they are a certified insurance broker with the California Department of Insurance.

They are on a team with Chung-Man Tam - Chief Product Officer, Jonathan Thomas - Head of Customer Success, and Andrew Gates - Head Of Partnerships. Wilson Zhao reports to Joshua Motta, Co-Founder & CEO.
