Engineer 6 - Research & Planning Division at Coastal Protection and Restoration Authority of Louisiana

Eric White is an accomplished engineer currently serving as Engineer 6 in the Research and Planning Division of the Coastal Protection and Restoration Authority of Louisiana since January 2019, focusing on hydrologic, hydraulic, and landscape numerical modeling for project assessment and planning optimization. Prior to this role, Eric worked as a Research Engineer at The Water Institute of the Gulf, where expertise in natural systems modeling was developed, along with significant experience in hydrologic analysis during tenure at the Philadelphia Water Department as an Engineering Specialist. Early career contributions include roles at URS Corporation as a Graduate Environmental Engineer and various research positions at Cornell University, USDA-ARS, and Penn State University. Eric holds a PhD Candidate position in River-Coastal Science and Engineering at Tulane University and has earned both a Master’s and Bachelor’s degree in Biological & Environmental Engineering and Agricultural & Biological Engineering, respectively.
