Jessica Diez

Jessica Diez is a seasoned professional with extensive experience in project management and environmental science. Currently serving as a Project Management Administrator and Project Manager at the Coastal Protection and Restoration Authority of Louisiana since February 2019, Jessica previously held the position of Coastal Resource Scientist at the Louisiana Department of Natural Resources from November 2011 to February 2019. Jessica has a diverse background, having also owned The Rouge Rabbit, a local restaurant in Baton Rouge, and worked as a Laboratory Assistant at Baton Rouge Urology Group. Earlier experiences include roles at Innovative Emergency Management, Inc. and Applied Research Associates, where Jessica focused on emergency management, mitigation planning, and disaster preparedness. Jessica holds an M.S. in Environmental Toxicology/Disaster Science and a B.S. in Zoology/Marine Biology from Louisiana State University.

The CPRA is the state agency leading coastal restoration, hurricane protection and other community resiliency efforts. Our mandate is to develop, implement, and enforce a comprehensive protection and restoration master plan for coastal Louisiana. Working with federal, state, and local political subdivisions, including levee districts, the CPRA is working to establish a safe and sustainable coast that will protect our communities, the nation’s critical energy infrastructure, and our bountiful natural resources for generations to come.
