Rhonda Thornton is an accomplished financial services executive with extensive experience in retail banking and operational leadership. Currently serving as Chief Retail & Experience Officer at Coastal States Bank since June 2025, Thornton previously held the role of Director of Technology & Operations Experience at Cadence Bank, N.A., where strategic project alignment and change management were key responsibilities. Past positions include Director of Operations at State Bank and Trust Company, Retail Sales and Operations Manager at KeyWorth Bank, and Regional Sales and Service Leader at Bank of America, where Thornton received multiple accolades for sales and customer satisfaction. Thornton holds a Bachelor of Science in Accounting and Finance from Auburn University Harbert College of Business and has furthered professional development through the Executive Management School at the University of Georgia.
