Fernando de Aguinaga Garcia

Fernando de Aguinaga Garcia is an experienced engineering professional specializing in renewable energy infrastructure. Currently serving as the Director of Structures for the Empire Wind I+II FEED projects for EQUINOR and BP at Grupo Cobra, Fernando is responsible for overseeing the development of 3.3 GW of offshore wind power in New York. With over a decade of experience at ATI CONSULT, including roles as Coordinator of Civil Engineering and Director of Engineering, Fernando has a strong background in civil engineering for renewable energy projects, including wind, solar, and hydropower. Prior experience includes roles at IDOM and G.O.C., S/A, focusing on structural engineering and studies. Academically, Fernando holds multiple degrees from the Universidad Politécnica de Madrid and has contributed as a Professor Ad Honorem in special structures and foundations.
