Elihu Diaz Avila

Elihu Diaz Avila has over 13 years of experience in instrumentation, electricity, and control within the mining and industrial sectors. Currently serving as the Leader of Instrumentation, Electricity, Control, and IT at Cobre Las Cruces - First Quantum Minerals since June 2010, Elihu specializes in technical troubleshooting, work order management, and maintenance optimization. Key responsibilities include supervising fieldwork, implementing 5S and Kaizen methodologies, configuring virtual machines and firewalls, programming control systems such as DeltaV DCS, Siemens PLCs, and intelligent relays. Elihu also has a background in network communication management and technical documentation. Prior positions include Team Leader at ELIMCO and Abantia, supplemented by formal education in telecommunications and electrical engineering.
