Wilma G. Rivera

Wilma G. Rivera, MPH, serves as the National Bilingual Engagement Manager at Cochlear, where responsibilities include leading engagement initiatives for Spanish-speaking patients and caregivers to ensure equitable access to hearing implant education and support. Rivera previously held the position of Hispanic Outreach Parent Educator and Lead Parent Educator (Bilingual-Spanish) at BEGINNINGS For Parents of Children Who Are Deaf or Hard of Hearing, Inc., focusing on mentorship and the development of culturally responsive training programs. Earlier roles include Home Visitor/Parent Educator at The Center for Child & Family Health, where comprehensive parenting education was delivered, and Program Supervisor at the City of San Antonio Metropolitan Health District, where community health outreach initiatives significantly increased vaccination rates. Educational qualifications include a Master's degree in Public Health and a Bachelor's degree in Biology from Universidad de Puerto Rico, along with a Certificate in Leadership Education in Neurodevelopmental Disorders from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill.
