Kazuma Kawagoe

CEO at CoCooking

Kazuma Kawagoe graduated from Keio University Faculty of Policy Management in 2014.

While he was in college, he trained as a cook at a Japanese restaurant, and after graduating, gained experience in restaurant management at Sapporo Lion Co., Ltd. After he retired, he moved to Fujiyoshida in July 2015 because he was doing community development research in Fujiyoshida City, Yamanashi Prefecture when he was a university student. He set up a community cafe and a children's cafeteria, which are renovated vacant houses.

In December of the same year, he founded Co-Cooking Co., Ltd. He develops team-building workshops through cooking mainly for corporations. From 2017, in order to open up the future of sustainable food, they will work on the commercialization of Japan's first sharing service "TABETE" specializing in food loss.

Participated in slow food activities from May 2016 and engaged in the operation of "Disco Soup", educational activity for food loss. After serving as the representative of Slow Food Youth Network Tokyo, he became a director of the Japan Slow Food Association in April 2019.

He is not only active in food loss, but also in SDGs-related topics, speeches and lectures on the food business.
