John Denny-Brown

John Denny-Brown has a diverse work experience spanning different industries and roles. John currently serves as the Director of Corporate Development at Coda Payments, where they established the corporate development function and led the sourcing and execution of M&A and strategic investments. Prior to this, they worked as an independent consultant, providing strategic advisory services to startups and high-growth companies. John also served as a mentor at Techstars, offering advice and expertise to early-stage entrepreneurs. Additionally, they held the position of Business Development lead at GLG, where they drove revenue and user growth in the West Coast Tech vertical. Previously, they worked at BK Litec Inc., a cleantech and IoT startup, as the CFO and other roles. John also has experience in equity research at Bank of America, covering sectors such as ecommerce, software, and gaming. Earlier in their career, they served as a Strategy Manager at Motorola Mobility and participated in a finance leadership rotational program at Motorola Solutions. Overall, John Denny-Brown has a strong background in corporate development, advisory services, and strategic leadership across various industries.

John Denny-Brown has an MBA from INSEAD and a BS in Finance & International Studies with a minor in French from Indiana University - Kelley School of Business. John also studied French Studies at Ecole Supérieure de Commerce de Rouen. Prior to that, they attended Langley High School. In addition, they hold a Six Sigma Green Belt certification obtained from Motorola Mobility (a Lenovo Company) in 2006, and they have completed the Venture Deals program offered by Kauffman Fellows.
