Senior CPU Design Engineer at Codasip

Carl Adams-Waite began their work experience in 2015 with a one-week work experience at Thales, where they performed factory testing and created JIRA filters. In 2016, they completed a 12-week summer placement at JCB, working on designing and testing new features with the electronics team. From 2017 to 2018, Carl had two summer internships at Dialog Semiconductor. In 2018, they also served as Treasurer for the Cambridge University Small Bore Rifle Club and Peterhouse May Ball. Carl then joined Dialog Semiconductor as a Graduate Digital Design Engineer from September 2019 to April 2020 before transitioning to a Digital Design Engineer role until April 2023. Currently, Carl works as a CPU Design Engineer at Codasip from April 2023 onwards.

Carl Adams-Waite completed their education at various institutions. From 2008 to 2015, they attended Newcastle-under-Lyme School, where they obtained their GCSEs and A Levels. Following this, they pursued a Master of Engineering (M.Eng.) degree in Electrical and Electronics Engineering at the University of Cambridge from 2015 to 2019. In 2018, they also participated in the Cyber Security Summer School at Tallinn University of Technology. In addition to their formal education, Carl obtained several certifications. In 2014, they achieved the Competent Crew certification from the Royal Yachting Association (RYA). In 2015, they obtained the Dinghy Level 2 and Keelboats Level 3 certifications, also from the RYA. In 2018, they obtained the Shorebased Coastal Skipper / Yachtmaster Offshore certification from the RYA. Furthermore, in 2019, they obtained the Level 5 Award in Management and Leadership from the Chartered Management Institute. Most recently, in 2021, they achieved the certification of Functional Safety Practitioner (Automotive/Semiconductors) from exida, as well as the JasperGold Formal Expert v21.06 Exam certification from Cadence Design Systems in 2022.
