Karel Masarik

President And Founder at Codasip

Karel Masarik has a diverse work experience in the technology industry. Karel is currently serving as the Founder and President of Codasip since December 2021, after previously holding the role of Founder and CEO from February 2014 to December 2021. Prior to this, they worked at ApS Brno, Codasip division, where they were the VP Engineering from July 2006 to January 2014. In this role, they led the team responsible for developing Codasip Framework and Startup Processor Platforms.

Before joining Codasip, Masarik worked at ATRON electronic GmbH as the Group Leader of Testing System for Embedded Systems from July 2003 to June 2006. During this time, they also collaborated with the FernUniversitat Hagen Germany as part of the ATRON research group. Karel later took on the responsibility for designing and implementing the core of the real-time operating system used in public transport onboard computers.

Masarik began their career at GPP Ges.f.Prozessrechner-Programmierung mbH, where they worked as a Junior Java Developer from May 2001 to October 2001, gaining valuable experience in software development.

Karel Masarik pursued their Ph.D. in Information Technology from 2005 to 2008 at Brno University of Technology. Prior to that, in 2004, they briefly attended FernUniversität in Hagen, where they studied Embedded Systems.
