Scott Johnston

Scott Johnston is an experienced technology leader currently serving as Chief Product Officer at Code for America, a non-profit focused on improving public services to alleviate poverty and enhance equity. In addition, Scott holds a role as Fractional Chief Product Officer at Bright Power, Inc., where responsibilities include product strategy and the design of a SaaS product suite for optimizing energy use in multi-family buildings. Previously, Scott spent nearly 17 years at Google, where roles included Director of Product Management for Google Meet, Chat, Voice, and Workspace, and Group Product Manager for Google Drive, significantly contributing to the launch and scaling of these products. Scott's early career included leadership positions at JotSpot and Kintana, both of which were acquired by larger companies. Scott holds a Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering and Computer Hardware Design from Brown University.
