Ria Riaz

Ria Riaz is a seasoned professional with extensive experience in marketing, community building, and diversity initiatives. Currently serving as a Member of the Board of Directors at Code for Canada since January 2018, Ria has been instrumental in facilitating digital literacy and technology solutions within government sectors. As VP of Marketing, DevRel, and Design at ChainSafe Systems from 2022 to October 2024, Ria focused on web3 infrastructure and cryptographic technologies. Ria’s previous roles include contributions to MESH/diversity as the Head of Marketing, where efforts were directed towards anti-racism tools and Diversity Intelligence™, and foundational leadership roles with Women Who Code and Community Builders. Ria has a Master's degree in Information from the University of Toronto and a BSc in Information Systems and Management from the London School of Economics.
