Aaron W.

Aaron W. is a highly skilled Staff Software Engineer at NextGen Federal Systems since July 2023 and also serves as an Instructor at Code Platoon. Previously, Aaron worked as an Associate Software Engineer at Booz Allen Hamilton, contributing to a geospatial AI/ML application and leading user engagement initiatives. Experience as a Software Developer at SOS International LLC included the delivery of a geospatial web application and hands-on development with Python/Flask and React. Aaron’s foundational experience began as a Full Stack Software Engineering student at Code Platoon and spanned a 20-year career in the United States Air Force, where leadership roles included Chief of Regional Weather Operations, overseeing environmental intelligence for the Department of Defense, as well as managing various weather operations teams. Aaron holds a B.S. in Geosciences from Mississippi State University and two associate degrees from the Community College of the Air Force.
