Selene Chala

Selene Chala has been working in the social services field since 2013. Selene began their career as a Women's Program Coordinator at The People's Concern, where they coordinated all women's programs in the shelter and provided case management to address barriers in services, housing instability, domestic violence history, and employment. In 2015, they moved to Cjjc, where they served as a Lead Housing Land and Development Organizer. In this role, they managed a tenant rights clinic that supported more than 1000 clients a year, coordinated housing campaigns focused on tenant protections, and supported and developed a Black and Latinx member base. In 2019, Selene joined Code2040 as their Partnerships Director and Company Relationship Manager.

Selene Chala graduated from the University of California, Berkeley in 2013 with a Bachelor's degree in Psychology.
