Pooranan Balasubramanian has worked in various roles in the eCommerce sector since 2000. pooranan began their career as a Solution Consultant at Karna Global Technologies in 2000. In 2004, they moved to HP as a Sr eCommerce Program Manager. In 2011, they joined RS Components as a Customer Experience Manager -eCommerce, where they focused on enhancing customer experience of RS Asia pacific websites. In 2012, they were appointed as CTO at SP eCommerce. In 2017, they became CTO at Codem Inc., where they were responsible for creating globally scalable enterprise eCommerce applications. Finally, in 2022, they were appointed as CTO at tapouts.

Pooranan Balasubramanian completed an MBA in Marketing from the National Institute of Technology, Tiruchirappalli in 1996. pooranan also attended A.V.H.S.S. In 2018, they obtained an Adobe Certified Expert-Magento Commerce Business Practitioner certification from Adobe.
