Geneva Scott

Director, Career Center at CodePath.org

Geneva Scott has been working in the field of career development for over eight years. Geneva started their career as an Upward Bound Counselor at San Diego State University, where they helped low-income and first-generation college students develop the skills and knowledge they need to succeed in college. After two years in that role, they transitioned to Tallahassee Community College, where they taught courses and advised students on their career paths.

In September 2015, Geneva took on the role of Senior Assistant Director of Experiential Learning at Florida State University. In this role, they coordinated the FSUshadow program, which allows students to shadow professionals in their desired field for a day. Geneva also managed the ProfessioNole mentors database, connecting students with alumni and friends of the university who could provide advice on their careers. In addition, Geneva built relationships with employers who provided internships and other engagement opportunities for students.

Geneva Scott is currently the Director of the Career Center at CodePath.org, where they help students develop the skills they need to launch their careers in tech. Under their leadership, the Career Center has grown to become one of the most popular resources for CodePath students.

Geneva Scott has a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science and Government from UC Santa Barbara and a Master's degree in Education Leadership from Point Loma Nazarene University.
