Nathan Esquenazi

Nathan Esquenazi is the Co-Founder & CTO at CodePath.org. Nathan has over 15 years of experience in the software industry and has held various positions during their career.

Nathan started their career as a Lead Software Developer at Quub from June 2007 to August 2010. Nathan then moved on to Talking Panda as a Lead Software Developer from August 2005 to August 2007. In September 2007, they co-founded Alturn Solutions with Thomas Shafer. Nathan developed and deployed several complex Ruby on Rails applications while at Alturn Solutions. Nathan used best practices for web development, including full unit-testing coverage and selenium integration-testing. The company was acquired by Ethicon Endo in 2010.

In July 2010, Nathan joined Miso as Lead Platform Engineer. Nathan was responsible for developing the infrastructure, back-end, and front-end for the core Miso product and prototype discovery projects. Nathan also managed the primary application in Ruby on Rails, including a private and public API with documentation for other developers to use Miso as a platform. Nathan helped to develop product and supporting work to power the data for the mobile clients. Nathan left Miso in January 2013 to start CodePath.

CodePath is a non-profit organization that provides education and training to help close the opportunity gap in the tech industry. They work with leading companies such as Google, Facebook, and LinkedIn to provide free or low-cost resources to help people learn coding and land their dream job in tech. CodePath has helped over 30,000 students since their inception in 2014.

Nathan Esquenazi holds a BS in Informatics and Computer Science from UC Irvine.

They are on a team with Victoria Angulo - Director, Strategic Partnerships, Geneva Scott - Director, Career Center, and Dana Ledyard - COO. Their manager is Michael Ellison, Co-Founder & CEO.
