Matt Alexander

Matt Alexander has extensive work experience in the finance industry. Matt began their career in 2000 at DNA Sciences Inc, where they served as the Director of Finance and Accounting Manager. In 2002, they joined Plexxikon Inc as the Director of Finance. Matt then moved to Genentech in 2006, where they held various finance roles, including Director of Finance for Contract Manufacturing and Global Pharma Procurement, Senior Director of Finance for Late-Stage Product Development, and Executive Director of Finance for the Center of R&D Financial Excellence. In 2022, Matt joined Codexis, Inc as the Associate Vice President and Head of F, P&A, and later became the VP of Finance in 2023.

Matt Alexander attended the University of Michigan - Stephen M. Ross School of Business from 1993 to 1995, where they earned a Bachelor of Business Administration (BBA) degree with a focus on Accounting and Finance. Matt then went on to pursue further education at the University of California, Berkeley, Haas School of Business from 2005 to 2008. During this time, they obtained a Master of Business Administration (MBA) degree with a specialization in Finance & Corporate Strategy. In addition to their academic qualifications, Matt Alexander holds an inactive CPA license from the State of New Mexico.
