Mariana Vázquez has a diverse work experience, beginning in 2016. Mariana started as a Marketing Intern at Sindicato de Cine, where they focused on promotion and building relationships. Mariana then moved on to roles as a Communication Intern at Reinserta un Mexicano, where they assisted with fundraising and communication strategies, and at Canana Presenta, where they helped with communication content strategy and distribution for the film Las Elegidas. Mariana also worked as a Communication Intern at Border Angels, where they managed audiovisual communication and led a documentary project. In 2017, they joined NOS Noroeste Sustentable A.C., where they created and coordinated the We Tell Stories project, teaching cinema to teenagers in a fishing community. Mariana also worked as a Fellow-Teacher at Enseña por México, focusing on program management and community building. Mariana continued their education and became a Professional Admissions Advisor at Tecnológico de Monterrey, where they supported and attracted outstanding students while coordinating events for student empowerment. Mariana later became a Latin American Ambassador at the University of East Anglia, and most recently, they worked as an External Consultant in London before becoming the Head of Community Building and Outreach at CodeYourFuture in 2021.

Mariana Vázquez completed a MA in International Development at the University of East Anglia from 2020 to 2021. Prior to that, they pursued a Curso in International Development at New York University in 2020. Mariana earned a Licenciatura in Comunicación y Medios Digitales from Tecnológico de Monterrey from 2011 to 2016. Mariana also studied Comunicación at Universidad de Belgrano in 2015, and attended EF International Language Campuses in 2014.
