Charlene Hunter

Charlene Hunter MBE is a leading figure in the tech industry, serving as the CEO and Founder of Coding Black Females since March 2017, aiming to connect and support Black female developers. As Technical Director at Black Codher Bootcamp since March 2020, Charlene helps Black women acquire essential skills for entering tech. With extensive experience at SAM Software Solutions Limited as both Technical Director and App Developer, Charlene developed a mobile app using C# and Xamarin. Charlene also serves as an Advisory Board Industry Representative for the Computing Department at the University of Essex Online since May 2021. Additionally, Charlene has held roles as a Senior Software Developer and Lead Java Developer at Charlutions Ltd, and previously worked as a Lead Software Engineer at Made Tech and Technical Consultant at Detica. Charlene holds both a Master of Science and a Bachelor of Science from the University of Birmingham.
