Matthew Khargie has a diverse work experience in the fields of analytics, data analysis, and education. Matthew started their career as a Physics Department intern at York College of the City University of New York, where they worked on implementing innovative systems for data collection and management. Matthew then became the Astrobotic Team Lead, managing the software and hardware divisions of the team and securing funding for transportation. During this time, they also served as a representative of NASA's MAA program at community outreach events.
In 2014, Matthew joined NASA as a MAA (Minority University Research and Education Program Aerospace Academy) Presenter/Researcher, where they presented NASA's findings on STEM education for minority students and raised awareness about the impact of NASA in communities. Matthew also discussed the interconnectivity between various NASA programs. Matthew later became a NASA MAA Robotics Instructor, fostering relationships among students through teamwork and developing a Climate Change program to increase interest in environmental sciences.
Matthew then worked as an Adjunct Faculty member at York College of the City University of New York, teaching various courses. Matthew eventually joined CoEnterprise as a Data Analyst, where they analyzed and interpreted data for business insights. Matthew then advanced to the role of Senior Analyst before becoming an Analytics Consultant.
Matthew Khargie obtained a Bachelor's Degree in Physics from York College of the City University of New York from 2013 to 2016. In addition to their degree, they have acquired certifications such as "Educator Professional Development Event : Astrobiology and the Origin of Life" from Texas State University in November 2016, "Tableau Certified Associate Consultant" from Tableau Software in August 2020, and "IBM Certified Designer - IBM Cognos Analytics Author V11" from IBM (date unspecified).
