Sierra Nelmes

Sierra Nelmes is a Principal Design Researcher at Coforma since September 2022, previously serving as a Senior Design Researcher at the same company. Prior experience includes roles at American Express as a UX Research Operations Manager and as a Senior User Experience Consultant. Notable projects include directing the DiabetesWise initiative at Stanford University School of Medicine and managing user success research at Plause. Sierra's early career involved roles in geosciences and environmental consulting, providing a strong foundation in systems thinking and data interpretation. Sierra holds a Master's degree in Interaction Design from the Copenhagen Institute of Interaction Design and a Bachelor's degree in Geology from the University of California, Davis.
