Aaron Smith

Aaron Smith has extensive work experience in the field of biosciences and medicinal chemistry. Aaron is currently serving as an Associate Director in Medicinal Chemistry at Cogent Biosciences since March 2022. Prior to this, they had a long tenure at Pfizer, where they held various roles including Associate Research Fellow, Senior Principal Scientist, Principal Scientist, and Research Scientist from 2008 to 2021. Before joining Pfizer, Aaron worked as a Postdoctoral Fellow at Colorado State University from 2006 to 2008.

Aaron Smith began their education at the University of Houston in 1996, where they pursued a Bachelor's Degree in Chemistry. Aaron completed this program in the year 2000. Following their undergraduate studies, Aaron Smith enrolled at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill in 2001. Over the next six years, they obtained a Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) in Organic Chemistry, graduating in 2006.
